The Spring/Summer 2022 season was dedicated to LHVUA umpire William ‘Bill’ Sullivan, who passed away suddenly on March 25. Bill’s hearty laugh and matter of fact personality will surely be missed. Bill’s signature count of ‘Three O’ was echoed throughout the season by his friend and colleague, Ken E. Rest in Peace.

St. John's Church Softball League Championship Sunday August 21, 2022 @ Kings Park. STYL won for the 3rd year in a row holding off STOC 21-17 in a seven inning thriller. The game was a continuation from July 31, 2022 with STYL leading 14-7 in the top of the 5th, with one out and runners on 1st & 3rd. LHVUA Umpires Jimmy G. and Ken E. officiated the game(s). Congrats STYL.

In July of 2019 after two powerful hurricanes devastated their Island home, the 10U Puerto Rican béisbol team was invited to Charlie Avery's Tournament in Tuxedo, NY. On July 25, they won the tournament Championship vs the Brooklyn Bonnies. LHVUA umpires Ken E. and Angelo M. officiated at the game.

What do umpires really discuss during these conferences? Getting the call right? Or what are we doing after the game? Or Both! The world may never know! LOL!
